About DECKco
Owner-run deck builders serving northern Utah since 2005.
DECKco is owned by Jacob Ross and Tim Barnes, who have each spent more than 20 years in construction. Both are hands-on with every project. Tim does all the bids and consultations, so when you get a free bid from DECKco you get an expert deck builder, not a paid salesman.
When we started in 2005 we thought we were pretty good deck builders. We’re a lot better now. We spend real time researching best practices and new products, because decking changes every year and building code keeps evolving.
Why homeowners choose us
No money down
We don’t take any money until the work is complete. If something isn’t done right you have the leverage to make it right, and we won’t drag the job out, because we want to get paid.
Lifetime labor warranty
We warranty our labor for the life of the deck. If something wasn’t done right, we take responsibility for it.
Licensed and insured
Our general contractor’s license covers small and large residential projects and most light commercial work. We have licensed electricians on staff and carry all the required insurance and then some.
Built on referrals
Our goal is for every customer to be happy enough to recommend us to friends and neighbors. Most of our work comes from referrals, and Angie’s List has given us its Super Service Award twice.
